We
encourage excellence and enjoyment in the performance of vocal and
instrumental music among young people and provide a supportive,
friendly environment where young people can gain their first
pleasurable experience of musical competition.
Format:
Prizes are awarded and all competitors receive a written adjudication and a general feedback session from experienced adjudicators on the day. A Gala Concert is normally held in January along with other performance opportunies throughout the year to showcase all our winners, but will probably not run in 2021.

accordance with a design concept by Elevator Design.
WELCOME
Singers
and instrumentalists aged
8-23 (as
at 1st Sept of the competition year)
are
judged on separate days. There is no minimum grade restriction on the
entrants; everybody is welcome to compete.

We had such a wonderful year in 2019 but
since
it has not been possible to run the
competition in 2020, we gave performers the
opportunity to play in our virtual concert on
Saturday, November 14th at 7.00pm. We had 17 perfomers who will
between them gave a concert lasting about 1 hour.
Sadly, there is little prospect of us getting back to normal in 2022.
